Kundalini Dance

Kundalini Dance™ is an ecstatic dance guided through our seven chakras using a musical map that truly takes us on a journey into self.  This dance activates and re-balances the chakra system as a whole, and is a powerful modality for healing on all levels…body, mind, and soul.  What are chakras?  Each chakra is a center in your subtle body that channel life force to the vital organs; each of them governs different organs, body parts, development periods of your life, and specific emotions.  They are gateways to the different parts of ourselves; they are deeply connected to the core of who we are and how we perceive and express ourselves in our daily lives.   Core issues relating to survival, creativity, sexuality, self esteem, personal power, love, intimacy, relationships, communication, self worth, honesty, intuition, and spirituality are all expressed through our chakras.

Combining free form dance, breath work, vocal expression, and music; we cleanse our whole being by allowing the release of stagnant, repressed emotions, memories, and negative thoughts and behaviors, all of which are energy that has become trapped within us and manifest in our body as pain and dis-ease.  Do you hold tension in neck and shoulders?  Do you get headaches?  Do you have asthma?  Do your emotions often take you spinning out of control?  We inspire you to continue to dance your own rhythm while consciously breathing through what arises in the process, honoring the emotions that want to be felt so they can be freed, this allows you to open through the contraction into expansion, personal freedom, and inner peace, leaving you feeling cleansed, positive, and energized.

“The time that we have all been waiting for, is now. WE are the ones that are needed to create the evolutionary shift of consciousness.   Ready to move beyond the ego based consciousness of fear and separation? Then this is the work for you.”

Kundalini Dance™ is a contemporary personal growth practice, drawing on ancient traditions and wisdom; designed for the accelerated times we live in. You don’t need any dance experience or knowledge of the chakras to attend – just a willingness to let go. Everyone is welcome and everyone is accepted; all genders, all shapes, all sizes and dance/fitness levels (yes, even including all you who say “I don’t dance.”), all races, all religions, all walks of life.  Invest in yourself; your health; your happiness.  Surrendering in the dance will naturally bring you to new blissful heights, activating your higher self, and attracting more positive energy into your life.  These teachings are the keys to personal evolution.

“I have been using dance as my method of healing since 1994, later diving DEEP into the electronic music and dance scene.  Over the years, I began to coin my dance style as “Goddess Breaks”, because my spiritual self began to awaken on the dance floor and continued to blossom when living in Hawaii.  The Kundalini Dance, which I first consciously experienced with Leyolah Antara in 2006 at EarthDance, has made me truly feel like I am learning powerful tools of personal evolution. This work has helped me change my perceptions of life…others…myself and just as important, it has guided me in integrating these positive changes into my everyday life.  My life has drastically changed over these last 4 years and continues to change due to this dance practice that teaches radical self responsibility towards my health, and what I draw into my life with my thoughts and actions.  I feel more balanced and deeply true to my core than I ever have before and I just keep learning more each time I dance.  Sharing Kundalini Dance classes, workshops, and retreats along the West Coast since my training with founder Leyolah Antara in 2007, I am currently based out of Santa Cruz, CA and wish to continue to inspire others to dance and grow.”
