DANCE YOUR REVOLUTION!
A Kundalini Dance Experience: Nov. 30th, 2011
I am very excited to announce Occupy Your Body, the Nov 30th Kundalini Dance workshop at the Mystic Activation Temple in Oakland, CA. This will be no ordinary dance class; Kundalini Dance is a personal rEVOLUTION for body, mind, and spirit.
We all have fear that is stuffed down, joy that is bottled up, painful memories frozen inside, stress piling up, and lifetimes of karma that we are carrying around all day, every day. The old limiting belief system is breaking down, no longer serving your future, your potential. Life has become heavy and we are over-taxed while being under nourished.
The power to make changes resides in each and every one of us.
IT’S TIME TO MAKE DRAMATIC CHANGES; IT MUST START FROM WITHIN AND ONLY YOU CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!
We need to replenish ourselves, update our contracts, and align with each other if we are to ever see the global change we are all calling for. This tantric, shamanic healing modality gives the space time continuum we need to honor, process and move together through what we are currently holding onto within our bodies and in our realities. We shake it up to wake it up, feel it to heal it, and take a one-way dance journey into our own evolution. This is personal healing and conscious growth in action.
In my personal experience Kundalini Dance is more transformative than traditional therapy; plus it’s so much more fun and affordable too!
Demand change for yourself; occupy your body.
Demand change for our world; occupy together.

Yarah Volkman: The Dance Floor Shamanista
I have been a passionate free-form dancer for as long as I can remember…and at least 1 incident where I can clearly remember how it felt being ridiculed at a middle school dance by the “in” crowd for my not so “in” moves. However, the dance floor kept calling me and the spirit of the music told me to pay no mind to them. I became deeply involved in the electronic music scene in the late 90’s and dancing became my medium of therapy with the DJ playing the doctor with the right medicine. It didn’t matter who was watching, I danced like no one was or like everyone was. My external persona was wild, strong and maybe even intimidating for some. On the inside, I was fragile and depressed; I was suicidal and I was dancing to save my own life. It couldn’t matter if people liked the way I danced. I would lose myself in the rhythm of the night and survive myself another day. I frequented the main stream night clubs, abandoned warehouses, underground parties, and sponsored massives; anywhere I could refill my dance prescription. People started to approach me to share that I inspired them with the way I moved my body to the beat of the music, the way I flowed in time and space, the way I freed my spirit on the dance floor, etc. Their words touched my heart in such a profound way; “You inspire me…” With so many expressing this to me in time I began to realize that this was one of my human super powers (we all have them); to inspire humanity. To dance. To heal. To love.
In 2006 I experienced my first Kundalini Dance workshop with founder Leyolah Antara, and so began my conscious healing journey of body, mind, and spirit (well maybe it wasn’t so “conscious” at first). The transformation within me over the last 5 years has been so profound that I have a deep sense of dedication to share all the potent tools I have had the opportunity to learn. Without a doubt, dancing saved my life and Kundalini dance continues to support my personal evolution. I am no longer just a dancer, but instead I have become a shamanic priestess. As a “shamanista” on the dance floor, I offer myself to all as a conduit, an evolutionary tour guide, and compassionate ally on this collective journey. My aim is to inspire the world around me through living my bliss. Inspiring through embodiment, I am here to share my excitement and experience of life with the world. I am here to share and experience love in many forms. I believe that to dance is to live and to surrender in the dance is to begin to love to live. Together we can reach our highest potential; we can live the reality of our choice.

Create transformation.

Hi Yarah,
I’d like to sign up for the Sacred Wisdoms December 12 event. Can you put me on the list? Also, how is the fee determined?
Let me know.
Peace,

Yay! Penny, loving that you will be joining us for the workshop on 12-12-2010. How much each person pays on the sliding scale fee of $33-55 is to be determined by the participant paying (that would be you!) To invest in your healing and personal evolution and to support the work we do, we are asking everyone pay the highest amount you can honestly afford. No one is turned away due to lack of funds. Please pass this information along to others that you think might be interested. Also, to receive directions and other information please RSVP to the Facebook invite I sent you for the event ~ Be Ecstatic. Be Well: A Day of Kundalini Dance and Ecstatic Breathwork ~ Namaste.
